About Tim Pierson

Hi, I’m Tim Pierson. I’m a technical consultant and pen tester who is passionate about teaching. For the past 30 years, I’ve gained industry experience in security, secure coding, virtualization, and cloud. My first love, however, has always been teaching. Speaking at well over 30 global and international hacking conferences, even keynoting 2 of them, I have always been known as the Virtualization and Cloud hacking expert. All of my invitations to speak have been on the subject of hacking virtualization and cloud environments. VMware themselves hired me to do a 30-stop tour of their top resellers to bring them up to speed on their new products! This tour involves making VMware products, such as ESX, Workstation, and other products as secure as possible. You see all hacking gurus need to have a specialty of some sort. Some like my, good friend Jason Street are in Social Engineering, and others such as life lifelong friend Joe McCray that involved SQL Injection, mine was Virutalization and cloud hacking. You see those products are NOT secure out of the box but they can be made to be VERY secure, even more secure than 99 percent of the most secure data centers by employing some of the simple concepts I teach in these videos. I enjoy explaining complex topics to both technical and non-technical clients, and I’ve taken this passion around the world, where I have delivered seminars, keynotes, and trainings for global corporations. I have taught my Ethical Hacking Exam preparation course well over 300 times to well over 30 thousand people both in person and virtually–from San Francisco to Kula Lumpur Malaysia, from London England to Gibraltar and just about every other English-speaking country in between. IT certification has now evolved into an industry staple; now all people who operate computers with privileged network access should either obtain this certification or at the very least be familiar with all of its concepts to stay current with new technologies and jump the curve.
